Pricing

For all services that SRM Lawyers offers, we provide an upfront fixed fee or fee estimate.

Everyone’s situation is different and there can be many factors that come into play when estimating fees, so it is not always possible to give more than an estimate or price range. However, for estate planning and conveyancing, our quoted fees do not change in most cases.

Pricing information for conveyancing and estate planning is set out below. For all other services, please contact our office for a chat and we will provide a guide on fees.

Conveyancing

Our fees for acting in relation to a sale or purchase are $1,925 ($1,750 plus GST) plus disbursements, which are fees charged by third parties. Disbursements will be slightly different depending on whether the property is a house or unit.

For a property sale, fees for disbursements relate to the documents that are required to be attached to the contract by law. These are typically between $200 and $300.

In all instances, Land Registry Service fees for document lodgements (transfer of the property into the new owner’s name, the registration of a new mortgage or discharge of an existing mortgage) and PEXA (electronic settlement platform) service fees apply.

We charge $220 including GST for each contract review which includes a detailed, written summary on the contract (and strata report if applicable) plus negotiations with the vendor’s lawyer or conveyancer for recommended contract amendments.

This fee is deducted from the total conveyancing cost if you successfully purchase that particular property.

Estate Planning (all fees GST inclusive)

Set out below are the fees that apply to our most common estate planning services. More information about each document can be found by clicking here.
